Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems seeks a Jr Quality Inspector to perform acceptance inspections of raw materials, components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies per documented plans. You will document results, use micrometers/calipers, optical comparators, and CMM equipment, and report non-conformances.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience as an inspector preferred.
  • OpenDMIS CMM software preferred.
  • GD&T certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections in accordance with documented inspection plans or instructions.
  • Record inspection results clearly and legibly.
  • Conduct mechanical measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gages, drop gages, optical comparators, and CMM equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections using a microscope.
  • Identify, segregate, and report discovered non-conformances.
  • Prepare final source inspection documentation.
  • Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and compliant workspace.

The Jr Quality Inspector performs acceptance inspections of raw material, components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies to documented inspection plans using various metrology. This position is responsible to adhere to and promote the company documented Quality Management System procedures and policies.
