Job summary

EnerSys's Precision Power Solutions division is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician III to support production of complex products and power circuitry. This role collaborates with operations and engineering in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

The ideal candidate will excel at hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork in a startup-like setting, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of IPC-610 soldering standards and practices.
  • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Solder, assemble, test, and inspect prototypes and released products.
  • Create SOPs, test procedures, and safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, root-cause identification, rework, and repair.
  • Troubleshoot CCAs/PCBAs and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Support continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
  • Communicate clearly to achieve team objectives.
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow AS9100 traceability.
  • Calibrate equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate tasks and provide training when required.
  • Work independently or with a team to complete assignments on time.

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician III to support the production of complex products and power circuitry. This role works closely with operations and engineering teams in a highly technical, fast‑paced startup environment. The ideal candidate excels in hands‑on work, technical problem‑solving, and collaboration across multifunctional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform soldering, assembly, testing, and inspection of prototypes and released products
  • Assist in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), test procedures, and safety procedures
  • Conduct troubleshooting, root‑cause identification, rework, and repair
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of PCBAs and complex troubleshooting of electromechanical assemblies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully to achieve team objectives
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow AS9100 traceability requirements
  • Conduct equipment calibration as needed
  • Coordinate tasks with peers and provide training when required
  • Follow verbal instructions effectively and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Complete assignments with minimal need for repair or rework and deliver work on time
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Expert knowledge of IPC‑610 soldering standards and practices
  • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Basic troubleshooting of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) / Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Sound decision‑making skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
  • Active IPC‑610 or IPC‑620 certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using diagnostic and lab equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data loggers, thermal chambers, and microscopes
General Job Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.
  • Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
