Job summary

BAPKO Metal, Inc. in Orange, CA is seeking a detail-oriented assistant to support Project Engineers and help define how project success is measured. This full-time role focuses on coordinating submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and fabrication orders, while monitoring schedules and releases.

You will import drawings into EPM and Trimble Connect, maintain logs, and participate in site visits as needed. Good communication and organization are essential. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; relevant field encouraged.
• Computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all software training including but not limited to EPM & Trimble Connect.
• Assist project engineers in project sequencing and basic detailing job setup including shop and erection drawings and preparation of Fabrication Orders, Sequencing and Lotting.
• Monitors project schedules regarding submittals, approvals and shop fabrication releases.
• Identify and communicate possible delays or problems to project management team
• Assist Project Manager in preparation of submittals and RFIs and transmitting to the General Contractor.
• Responsible for importing all design drawings into EPM including all new Addenda, Bulletins, & ASIs and ensure the design plans are up to date.
• Responsible for updating the Project Tracking Log & Detailing Status Reports.
• Attend initial project site visit, project kick-off meeting, and visit job site as needed
• Other duties and task as assigned

Position Overview

Salary Description

$26 to $30/hr
