Job summary

Kirby Corporation in Houston is seeking a Pricing Analyst who will own the pricing inbox, resolve inquiries, and support the KDS strategic pricing team with data analysis, process documentation and price updates. You will help ensure timely responses and build strong relationships with customers and internal partners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Mathematics and at least two years of customer service and data analysis experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ customer service and data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the pricing inbox, managing time to research, troubleshoot, and respond promptly.
• Update pricing across KDS companies with Pricing Analysts.
• File rebates with vendors in collaboration with Pricing Analysts.
• Translate high volumes of data into meaningful information to support key decisions.
• Engage in special projects as identified.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure accurate pricing.

Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring all pricing inquiries are timely resolved. This individual will be responsible for supporting the KDS strategic pricing team by performing data analysis, process documentation and price updates.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to professionally handle pricing inquiries, resolve issues, and build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the pricing inbox, managing time effectively to research, troubleshoot, and respond according to priority, while also ensuring all items are timely resolved
• Work closely with Pricing Analysts to update pricing across KDS companies
• Work with Pricing Analysts in filing rebates with vendors
• Translates high volume of data into meaningful information to support key business decisions
• Special projects as identified
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High attention to detail/reporting accuracy, while also able to focus on the overall problem/solution
• Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI, ERP system (Oracle preferred) and Business Object Explorer (BOE).
• Strong oral and written communication skills: ability to synthesize information and succinctly communicate key findings and recommendations
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve pricing discrepancies and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing information.
• Provide exceptional customer support by communicating pricing updates, policies, and solutions clearly and effectively.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external customers while delivering a high level of service. This is consistent with existing Pricing Analyst job descriptions that emphasize strong customer service skills and providing high-quality pricing customer service

Education: Bachelor’s degree required- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience; Finance, and/or Mathematics background a strong plus

Experience:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for pricing inquiries from customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• A minimum 2 years of customer service/data analysis experience required
