Grace Beginnings Academy in Eden Prairie is seeking a Junior Preschool Assistant Teacher for a part-time schedule (27.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 12:15 PM to 5:45 PM. The role offers starting pay of $18.00 per hour based on education and experience.

You will support the lead teacher, help implement Christ-centered lessons, and assist with classroom routines, materials, and positive relationships with families, while maintaining licensing compliance and consistent attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant.
• Commitment to prayer and Christ-centered ministry.

Responsibilities

• Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist in completing daily activity documentation and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and take responsibility for completing duties that keep the facility orderly.
• Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
• Foster positive relationships with parents at drop-off or pick-up.
• Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential to this position.
• Maintain licensing compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the lead teacher and supports each child’s physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth. This role helps implement Christ-centered lessons and activities rooted in play and exploration.
