Grace Beginnings Academy in Eden Prairie, MN seeks a long-term substitute assistant teacher for January through April. The position is part-time, 27.5 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 12:15 PM to 5:45 PM.

• Prep learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Foster Christ-centered relationships with students and parents.
• Assist in routines when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Attend required training, staff meetings, and events.

Position Details:

• Position Type: Part-Time, Temporary
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 12:15-5:45 PM (27.5 hours/week)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The long-term sub will assume assistant teacher responsibilities in the classroom during the specified months above.

• Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist in completing daily activity documentation and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom, and take responsibility for completing the duties required to keep the facility orderly.
• Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
• Foster positive relationships with parents at pick-up.
• Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Attend all required training, staff meetings, or events.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential to this position.
• Maintain licensing compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
