Job summary

Digitech, part of the Sarnova Family of companies, is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and improve the organization’s enterprise network across offices and data centers. You will ensure reliability, performance, and security while supporting business operations and strategic initiatives.

The Network Engineer serves as a key technical resource for diagnosing issues, planning upgrades, and deploying new deployments with minimal disruption, including a rotating on‑call

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with focus on networking or security.
  • JNCIA, CCNA or equivalent vendor cert required or in progress.
  • 1–3 years of networking experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with NGFW policy management and Fortinet preferred.
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX in server environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Analyze systems to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvements.
  • Manage projects with timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Support daily operations and on-call escalations to ensure uptime.
  • Adhere to security, compliance, and company policies across network activities.
  • Maintain documentation and diagrams; communicate technical updates clearly.

Job description

Summary:

Network Engineers at Digitech are responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s enterprise network infrastructure, including corporate office environments, data centers, and wide area networks (WAN). This role plays a critical part in ensuring network reliability, performance, and security while supporting business operations and strategic initiatives.

The Network Engineer serves as a key technical resource for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network‑related issues in production environments, often under time‑sensitive conditions. They are also responsible for planning and executing network upgrades, system enhancements, and new deployments in a manner that minimizes disruption and ensures service continuity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform full lifecycle network engineering activities including planning, architecture design, systems analysis, implementation, configuration, scripting, administration, and ongoing documentation of network infrastructure and processes
  • Analyze existing network systems, configurations, and operational processes to identify inefficiencies or risks, and recommend improvements to enhance network capacity, performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Manage and execute assigned projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements; maintain accountability for deliverables, timelines, and project documentation
  • Effectively manage time, tools, and technical resources to support both daily operational responsibilities and project‑based work while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
  • Adhere to and actively support company policies, procedures, and standards related to security, compliance, and business ethics; ensure all network activities align with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain open, proactive, and consistent communication with team leadership, cross‑functional engineering teams, and key stakeholders; provide clear technical updates, documentation, and recommendations as needed
  • Interact with internal teams and stakeholders in a professional, courteous, and service‑oriented manner; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering high‑quality support
  • Monitor network performance and respond to incidents by quickly identifying root causes, triaging issues, and implementing effective resolutions to minimize downtime and business impact
  • Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule to provide 24/7/365 support for critical network incidents and emergencies, ensuring high availability of network services
  • Perform scheduled after‑hours maintenance, upgrades, and system changes to minimize impact to business operations while ensuring successful implementation and validation of updates
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides; share knowledge with team members to support operational continuity
  • Additional job duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Required:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems with telecommunications/security focus, or similar curriculum
  • JNCIA, CCNA, or any other equivalent vendor network associate level certification
  • 1-3 years of equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, OSI model, and other networking fundamentals
  • Familiarity with deployment and troubleshooting of Internet and Ethernet circuits, VRF‑aware routing, IPSEC VPN tunnels, and dynamic routing protocols like BGP and OSPF in a corporate network environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting and managing policy for an enterprise next‑generation firewall (NGFW) platform. (Fortinet preferred)
  • Experience with various enterprise‑level operations software packages, such as ticketing, monitoring, logging, and graphing systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX/BSD operating systems, including usage in a GUI‑less server capacity
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective use of time and equipment to accomplish assigned projects and managing multiple concurrent tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with ability to interrelate and communicate with people within the workplace
  • Excellent problem solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation
  • Ability to conduct research into issues as required
  • Self‑motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment
