Job summary

Monarch Investment And Management Group seeks a Jr. Multifamily Maintenance/Management Apprentice in Clarksville, IN. You will gain hands-on experience across apartment maintenance, turnover, safety, and resident services while learning from seasoned supervisors on live properties.

You’ll work with teams to manage tasks, coordinate preventive maintenance, and understand property operations, safety standards, and vendor interactions throughout a 6–14 week program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a trade program, technical school, certification track, or degree program.
• High school students with a strong interest in the trades will be considered.
• Interested in HVAC, building maintenance, or skilled trades.
• Motivated, reliable, and ready to learn.
• Paid: $19–$20 per hour (based on location and experience).
• Tools: Property maintenance starter tools to use during the program and keep if brought on full-time.
• Length: 6–14 weeks.
• Location: Available in select Monarch regions nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in apartment and building maintenance.
• Learn unit turns and the apartment make-ready process.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and capital planning.
• Handle work orders and resident service tasks.
• Conduct property and safety inspections.
• Maintain shop organization and tool management.

• Collaborate with third-party contractors as needed.

As a Junior Maintenance Apprentice, you’ll work directly with Monarch’s Maintenance Supervisors and Roving Crews while gaining hands‑on experience in:

• Work order management and resident service
• Property and safety inspections
• Shop organization and tool management

• Pool and snow removal operations (where applicable)
• Working with third‑party contractors

This is not classroom learning or just watching another, but real‑world, boots‑on‑the‑ground experience in live communities.
