The Junior Information Systems Security Officer (Jr. ISSO) supports the organization’s cybersecurity, information assurance, and compliance efforts for classified and unclassified information systems. This role places strong emphasis on practical cybersecurity operations, including risk identification, vulnerability management, access control, audit readiness, incident response support, and continuous monitoring of system security posture. The Jr. ISSO assists with the implementation, assessment, monitoring, and maintenance of security controls required to comply with Department of Defense (DoD), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and customer-specific cybersecurity requirements.
The Jr. ISSO plays a key role in maintaining authority-to-operate (ATO) packages, supporting audits and inspections, managing cybersecurity documentation, and helping protect organizational systems, networks, data, and mission operations from cyber threats through disciplined security practices and compliance oversight.
Pay may range from $32.00 to $36.00 hourly

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
