Jr. High Math & Science Teacher (8th Grade Homeroom) (Full-time)

Start Date: August 1, 2025 (training, retreat, and preparation);
School Year Starts: Wednesday, August 27, 2025

St. Philip Neri School is a TK–8 Catholic elementary school located in Lynwood, CA. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate educator to teach Math & Science (Grades 6-8) in our Junior High Department. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, collaborative, possess strong classroom management skills, and effective communication abilities. Responsibilities include preparing engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, developing intervention plans, differentiating instruction, and integrating technology. Experience and love for science and math are essential. The candidate should be willing to participate in community life and uphold the school's faith and mission.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Math or Science
  2. Valid teaching credential (single- or multiple-subject); Master’s Degree preferred but not required. Candidates in training or enrolled in a teacher preparation program are encouraged to apply.
  3. At least 2 years of teaching experience preferred; training and support will be provided for new teachers.
  4. Catechetical Certification (or in progress)
  5. Willingness to grow professionally and attend trainings as needed
