Job summary

Corvallis School District Corvallis SD 509J is seeking a Jr. High Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This seasonal, internal position focuses on coaching and program coordination for the middle school team.

Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of the program, assisting in staff selection, promoting the sport, keeping statistics, and ensuring OSAA compliance. Oregon teaching license is preferred; first aid and concussion training can be completed after hire.

Qualifications

• Basketball coaching experience at the middle school level.
• Experience in all aspects of basketball coaching.
• Ability to develop rapport with students, parents and coaches.
• High ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to motivate student athletes and coaches.
• Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, and Steroid training and Current First Aid Certification (can be completed upon hiring).
• Oregon Teaching License (preferred).
