Job summary

The Corvallis School District 509J is seeking a high school golf coach for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. The role coordinates the entire high school program and supports feeder programs while maintaining high ethical standards.

Experience in all aspects of golf coaching is required, with emphasis on developing student-athlete rapport and motivation. Oregon Teaching License is preferred and First Aid certification can be completed after hire.

Qualifications

• Golf coaching experience at the high school level.
• Experience in all aspects of golf coaching.
• Ability to develop rapport with students, athletes, parents and coaches.
• High ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to motivate student and athletes and coaches.
• Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion and Steroid training; First Aid Certification can be completed upon hiring.
• Oregon Teaching License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the high school golf program.
• Work with and help direct all feeder programs into the high school.
• Assist in selection of the coaching staff.
• Promote the sport and grow participation.
• Keep detailed statistics for the program.
• Follow all school and OSAA guidelines.
• Provide off-season opportunities for skill development.
• Be a student of the sport.

Stipend: $6,117.- $7,035., depending on years of experience
