Job description

TACG is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our team supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in designing, deploying, and maintaining the Vessel Incidental Discharge Act (VIDA) Data Management System (DMS). This system implements, monitors, and enforces regulations for vessel incidental discharges. The role involves working on a cloud-based, Low-Code Application Platform (LCAP) using Appian.

The Junior Full Stack Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining solutions across platforms and devices.

Work Location: Occasional USCG meetings may be held in the DC Metro Area or West Virginia. The developer may work remotely but should reside within one hour travel time from the DC Metro Area if interested in attending meetings.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Serve as a Full Stack Developer
• Develop and maintain solutions across platforms and devices
• Develop, modify, and maintain custom web parts, master pages, and content types
• Develop and deploy workflows and customizations
• Work in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Develop SQL scripts
• Assist with databases as needed

Requirements (including but not limited to):

• Security Clearance: Must have or be eligible for a Tier 1 background investigation and be a U.S. citizen
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for a degree
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in developing and maintaining solutions across platforms, building custom interfaces, working with AWS or other cloud environments, and experience with federal government clients. Experience with containerized solutions and software design is a plus.
