Job summary

mcfa is seeking a motivated individual with experience in clean energy and energy efficiency implementation in a Hybrid-Remote role based in NJ. You will review incentive applications, perform field verifications, and lead training sessions for internal teams and contractors while identifying savings opportunities for commercial facilities.

Ideal candidates have 0-5 years in HVAC design or energy engineering, strong English communication, and the ability to manage projects and train others.

Qualifications

  • 0-5 years of work experience in HVAC design, energy engineering, or similar consulting engineering work.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and oral) in English.
  • Understanding of one or multiple segments of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, structural).

Responsibilities

  • Review and organize energy efficiency incentive applications and manage their lifecycle.
  • Conduct field visits to confirm proper implementation of initiatives.
  • Deliver virtual and on-site training sessions amongst internal peers and contractor network.
  • Identify energy saving opportunities for Commercial and Industrial facilities.
  • Coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.

Location: Haddonfield, NJ - New Brunswick, NJ - & occasional travel to client sites in NJ.

Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid-Remote

About the Role/Responsibilities: We are in search of highly motivated and capable individuals with experience in clean energy & energy efficiency implementation. In this role you will be challenged to help navigate and implement a major energy provider's green energy initiative. Responsible for the stewardship of utility ratepayer dollars and the overall improvement of our community. The position will include both desk responsibilities reviewing and organizing energy efficiency incentive applications, as well as field visits to confirm proper implementation. The position will also entail conducting virtual and on-site training sessions amongst internal peers and contractor network, as well as identifying energy saving opportunities for various Commercial and Industrial facilities. In addition, managing incentive applications through their lifecycle is a key component to the position.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with energy rates or calculations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy or Architectural Engineering. Other degrees or education qualifications may be considered with applicable work experience.
  • Prior design-build and/or performance contracting experience is a plus.
Annual Paid Time Off:
  • Sick Leave: 5 Days (40 Hours)
  • Vacation: 15 Days (120 Hours)
  • Holidays: 11 Federal Holidays (88 Hours) observed in accordance with mcfa's Holiday Schedule

  • Following your first full quarter worked, you will qualify for a profit-share bonus that is distributed at the end of each quarter if company targets are hit.
  • Incoming Growth Units: 10
  • Growth Unit allotment may increase over time.
