Junior Electrical Engineer (MEP)

Education

• Bachelor's Degree/BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university (required)
• EIT certification (preferred)

Experience

• 2-4 years of electrical engineering experience
• Proficiency in electrical design principles, methods, and practices

Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Knowledgeable in Revit
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of electrical, fire alarm, and EPMS systems
• Design electrical distribution, UPS, emergency power, and fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial facilities, and data centers
• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation
• Perform engineering studies such as feasibility and gap analysis
• Perform design calculations for electrical loads, short circuit analysis, UPS and generator performance, etc.
• Review and approve electrical submittals
• Assist with RFI responses during construction administration
• Participate in commissioning activities
• Perform other duties as required
• Extensive travel required

Additional Details

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $56,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend availability.

Supplemental pay: Bonus pay.

Location: Multiple locations, including New York, NY (relocate or commute required).

Willingness to travel: 100% travel required.
