Job summary

VTG seeks a Jr. DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience supporting software deployments, Linux environments, containerized apps, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps operations.

Responsibilities include deploying across Linux, containerized, cloud and virtualized environments; administering RHEL/CentOS; building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/GitLab; implementing IaC with Ansible/Terraform; managing Docker and Kubernetes; configuring Arista/Cisco networks. TS/SCI with Poly and travel required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with software and system deployments.
• Experience administering Linux (RHEL/CentOS).
• Experience with containerization and cloud deployments.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab).
• Familiarity with IaC/configuration management (Ansible/Terraform).
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Networking experience (LAN/CAN/WAN) and configuring network devices (Arista/Cisco).
• Willingness to travel; TS/SCI with Poly and DoD 8570-compliant certification preferred.

• Support software and system deployments across Linux, containerized, cloud, and virtualized environments.
• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems, particularly RHEL and CentOS.
• Support DevSecOps processes and automation across development, testing, deployment, and operational environments.
• Design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade LAN, CAN, and WAN networks.
• Administer and configure Arista and Cisco network devices.
• Configure and optimize network infrastructure connecting front-end and back-end system components.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management solutions using Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Support the management and monitoring of hybrid cloud and virtualized environments.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with:

• Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting RHEL/CentOS Linux environments.
• Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading LAN/CAN/WAN networks.
• Experience administering Arista and Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience configuring and optimizing networks supporting front-end and back-end components.
• Proficiency with Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code/configuration-management tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing and configuring Kubernetes clusters for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Experience managing and monitoring hybrid cloud and virtualized environments.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
• Must be willing to travel. VTG's estimated starting pay range is $100K - $150K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
