Job summary

Arion is seeking a Jr. Civil/Structural Engineer to support onshore oil & gas and industrial facilities.

You will assist in steel and concrete design development, engineering calculations, and technical documents under guidance of senior engineers. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and vendors, ensure compliance with codes and company procedures, and contribute to safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 0–4+ years of experience.
• NCEES Engineering-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical information for Civil/Structural Engineering.
• High level of commitment to safety.
• Motivated with a positive attitude.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support civil/structural engineering activities on assigned projects involving onshore oil & gas or industrial facilities.
• Assist in the development of structural steel designs, concrete foundations, and site grading and drainage plans to support fabrication, installation, and operation of facilities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design sketches, specifications, and technical documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to support interdisciplinary design integration and resolve routine engineering issues.
• Review and incorporate vendor and supplier information into project deliverables as required.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with project team members, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Jr. Civil/Structural Engineer supports civil and structural engineering activities for onshore structures under the guidance of senior engineers. This role assists in the development of structural steel and concrete designs, engineering calculations, technical documents, and related deliverables while ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and company procedures. The position requires coordination with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to support safe, efficient, and constructible project execution.

Qualifications / Education Requirements

• 0 - 4+ years of experience

• Ability to use STAAD, RISA-3D, or other computer aided design programs preferred.

Working Conditions

• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations.
• Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or facility.
• When on field assignment you may be required to work in a plant and/or shop areas around production machinery subject to varying temperatures and noise.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
