• 1–3 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, banking, payment processing, or business analysis
• Foundation in financial transactions, reconciliations, and data accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, data organization)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite five days per week
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsabilidades

• Analyze existing workflows and recommend practical improvements to business processes and applications
• Prepare and maintain Excel reports to track payment activity, operational performance, and outstanding issues
• Gather and document business requirements, procedures, and process changes
• Support testing and validation of system enhancements affecting payment processing and reporting
• Communicate findings, status updates, and issues to management and internal partners
• Follow established procedures for handling confidential financial and participant information

Junior Business Analyst - Benefits Payments

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounting Analyst to support our Benefits Payments organization. This role will analyze financial data, review operational processes, and identify opportunities to improve payment accuracy, reporting, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in finance, accounting, or financial operations, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and an interest in improving business processes. Experience with benefits administration, retirement services, or 401(k) plans is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review financial and benefits payment data for accuracy, completeness, and discrepancies.
• Assist with payment reconciliations, investigate exceptions, and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.
• Analyze existing workflows and recommend practical improvements to business processes and applications.
• Prepare and maintain Excel reports to track payment activity, operational performance, and outstanding issues.
• Gather and document business requirements, procedures, and process changes.
• Support testing and validation of system enhancements affecting payment processing and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, banking, payment processing, or business analysis.
• Foundational understanding of financial transactions, reconciliations, and data accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and organizing data.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision after initial training.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting benefits payments, retirement services, or 401(k) administration.
• Familiarity with retirement plan contributions, payroll deductions, or payment reconciliation.
• Experience using Excel pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot.
