Position Details: Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ), Subaru Telescope Project, located in Hilo, Hawai‘i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.
MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $3,102 - $3,169/Mon.
Provides administrative services for the administration staff of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) office, as well as the research, engineering, and technical staff. This includes support service to the accounting section, which requires some knowledge of the Japanese Government accounting system. Composes correspondence, translates various administrative materials from Japanese to English or vice versa, types various technical/non-technical documents and office notices, reviews these documents for correct grammar, spelling, format, etc.
