Job summary

Diocese of San Jose is seeking a caring Transitional Kindergarten teacher to join St. Clare School’s faculty in October 2026. The TK teacher will foster academic, social-emotional, spiritual, and physical development in four- and five-year-olds in a Catholic setting.

The role reports to the principal and requires designing curriculum, coordinating with families, and upholding school standards and Diocesan guidelines. The position emphasizes collaboration and faith-based education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• A valid CA teaching credential preferred.
• Master's degree in an educational field, preferred.
• Experience in Catholic education, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement curriculum, instruction, and assessments aligned with designated standards and research-based practices.
• Utilize assessment data to implement responsive instructional interventions to support the learning of every student.
• Model and be supportive of a faith-filled Catholic environment in both words and actions.
• Maintain and demonstrate strong classroom management skills to support a safe, positive learning environment.
• Meet the academic and socio-emotional needs of diverse learners.
