LeafSpring Schools in Fishers, IN seeks an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support Lead Teacher in delivering a nurturing, play-based learning environment for infants to preschoolers. You will assist with routines, activities, and individualized attention to foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

You’ll participate in lesson planning, classroom management, and collaboration with staff to ensure a safe, inclusive classroom.

Qualificações

• Previous experience in child care, preschool, daycare, or toddler education (preferred)
• Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
• Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to multitask, follow classroom structure, and adapt to children’s needs
• High school diploma or GED required
• CDA or enrollment in Early Childhood Education courses (preferred but not required)

• Assist with lesson planning and curriculum implementation based on children’s developmental needs and interests
• Supervise children during classroom transitions, group play, and hands-on activities

• Encourage independence, self-help skills, and social interaction through positive guidance strategies
• Observe and document children’s behavior and milestones for communication with families and the teaching team
• Provide age-appropriate support for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, depending on assigned classroom
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive, inclusive early childhood learning environment

Your Role as an Assistant Teacher

As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work closely with the Lead Teacher to deliver a nurturing, safe, and educational classroom environment for infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children.
