Job summary

EPIC Healthcare is seeking an energetic Activity Director to plan and oversee a vibrant calendar of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs for residents in our New Jersey facility.

You will develop engaging activities, coordinate group and individual programs, and collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to promote resident wellness. A caring, organized leader with ADC certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Knowledge of state regulations related to activity programs in long-term care.
• Certification as an Activity Director (ADC) or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to residents’ needs and interests.
• Coordinate group and individual activities such as arts & crafts, music, games, exercise, outings, and celebrations.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and therapy departments to promote resident wellness.
• Maintain accurate participation records and comply with state and federal regulations.
• Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere throughout the facility.
