Job description

Tradeco Construction has partnered with a long-standing, reputable Electrical Company to source and hire up to 2 Journeymen Electricians to join the team. The ideal candidates will have experience in industrial electrical projects and demonstrate proficiency in the core responsibilities outlined below.

Job Responsibilities

1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power, controls, and instrument systems throughout industrial project sites.
2. Travel out of town (outside of the Indy area) when work schedules slow down.
3. Work on voltage controls and circuits including 110v, 440v, and 4160v.
4. Repair instruments using testing and calibration equipment; work on load and line side electrical components up to 4160v.
5. Fabricate conduit racking systems, install electrical equipment, and install EMT and rigid conduit.
6. Install and calibrate process control instrumentation with PLC control systems.
7. Troubleshoot PLCs for automated machinery and conveyor systems.
8. Perform electrical preventative maintenance activities.
9. Plan, prioritize, and schedule electrical installation and construction with input from field supervision or project management.
10. Install, troubleshoot, and repair 460v motors and controls, including VFDs.
11. Read and update blueprints, P&ID diagrams, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.
12. Use typical test and calibration equipment effectively, including pneumatic tools.

7. Ability to stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
