Job summary

BAYOU ELECTRICAL SERVICES is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for industrial environments in Texas. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment within factories, plants, and warehouses.

You will work with high-voltage equipment, PLCs, and motor controls, following NEC standards and safety protocols. Travel and overtime may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship program.
• TWIC Card.
• 3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage equipment, PLCs, and motor controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems, adhering to codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions or system failures promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure functionality and prevent issues.
• Read blueprints and schematics to perform installations and repairs.
• Service and maintain electrical components in industrial equipment including motors, generators, transformers, and control systems.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects.

KeyResponsibilities

• StrongknowledgeoftheNationalElectricalCode(NEC).
• Abilitytouseelectricaltestingtoolssuchasmultimeters,megohmmeters,andcircuitanalyzers.
• Skilledindiagnosingandrepairingcomplexelectricalissues.
• Proficiencyincabletermination,includingpreparing,splicing,andconnectingwirestopanels,switches,andotherequipmentwithprecisionandaccuracy.
• Proficiencyincablepulling,includingrunningandsecuringelectricalcablesthroughconduits,trays,andindustrialsystems.
