Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a project-based assignment in Spring Lake, MI. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical systems, including low and high voltage work, read blueprints, and perform diagnostics with standard tools.

Qualifications

• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; high-voltage/industrial certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems, including low voltage and high-voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and the Electrical Code (NEC).
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately to execute installations and repairs.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex industrial and commercial electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
• Conduct high-voltage wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to install wiring, conduit systems, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other electrical components.
• Diagnose issues within electrical systems efficiently to minimize downtime through systematic troubleshooting procedures.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician work .
• Demonstrated expertise in industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and industrial automation components such as PLCs.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and reading electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with electrical wiring installation on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems along with general construction experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret blueprints accurately and execute precise electrical wiring according to specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to perform electrical diagnostics efficiently under pressure.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; additional certifications in high-voltage or industrial systems are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
