Job summary

Engineered Electrical Systems (EES) in Traverse City, MI is seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians to join a growing team on commercial, industrial, high-rise, and specialty construction projects across Northern Michigan.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, read blueprints, and mentor apprentices while upholding NEC standards and company safety policies. Earn $38-$47 per hour plus a sign-on bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License
• 2-4 Years Experience in Commercial, Highrise, Industrial building or Industrial building, including Highrise
• Must be current on NEC codes
• Knowledge of PPE for arc flash NFPA 70E
• Experienced in proper rigging of switch gear and raceway
• Leadership experience preferred
• MUST have a valid driver's license
• Must have excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting and controls.
• Install ridged, EMT and PVC raceways
• Install ground system from exothermic to non-reversible crimp connections
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Install electrical equipment from MCC, subpanels to disconnect switches
• Install medium voltage terminations
• Install fire stopping assemblies
• Maintain job site schedules and coordinate with other trades
• Calculate conduit fills and wire ampacities
• Operate heavy machinery and power tools
• Ensure compliance with NEC requirements and company safety standards.
• Mentor apprentice electricians and maintain professional jobsite conduct
