NSC Staffing is hiring Journeyman Welders to work on government components and U.S. Navy submarines in Goose Creek, SC. The role requires proficiency in GMAW Spray and GMAW Pulse, plus Class 1 and Class 3 UT welds.

Candidates should have a minimum of four years of verifiable welding experience and relevant qualifications. Typical shifts may run day or night, up to 11 hours, with safety procedures and shipyard standards strictly observed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of verifiable welding experience; Journeyman-level experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in GMAW Spray, GMAW Pulse, Class 1 UT welds, Class 3 UT welds.
• Current and verifiable welding qualifications for required processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, repair, overhaul, and manufacturing of government components.
• Weld on U.S. Navy submarines as required.
• Maintain required weld qualifications for applicable processes.
• Read and interpret welding procedures, drawings, and specifications.
• Follow safety and shipyard requirements and use PPE.
