Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Truck Operator to join our field team. You will operate Water, Dump, Haul, and Tractor Trailer/Lowboy trucks per project requirements, while adhering to Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, keeping the work area clean, following safety rules, reading load charts and manuals, and communicating effectively with team members. A strong emphasis on teamwork and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Related construction experience preferred.
• Current driver's license with proper classification and endorsements as required by law.
• Strong teamwork orientation and positive attitude.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, load charts.
• Detail oriented with the ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks based on project requirements: Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, Tractor Trailer/Lowboy.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build and maintain relationships across diverse teams.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
