Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Truck Operator to operate Water Trucks, Dump Trucks, Haul Trucks, and Tractor Trailers as project needs dictate. You will follow Mortenson safety policies, maintain equipment, and support project teams with reliable, on-time transport and material movement.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and precise operation, with responsibilities ranging from daily checks to task plan adherence and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment and their uses.
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, multiplication).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks based on project requirements: Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, Tractor Trailer/Lowboy.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build and maintain relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
