Meridian Magnesium Product of America in Eaton Rapids, MI seeks a skilled Tooling Technician to build and repair tooling ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications. You will operate lathes, grinders, mills, and related tooling, interpreting blueprints and instructions to produce and mend fixtures, tools, jogs, and dies.

The role requires a Journeyman’s card, ability to read blueprints, lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work overtime in an automotive/manufacturing environment.

Competenze

• Journeyman’s card/certificate required.
• Blueprints or verbal instructions reading allowed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime.

Mansioni

• Safe working environment is maintained.
• Tool building and repair to satisfy requirements.
• Plan setup and operation of machine shop tools including materials, tolerances, cutting tools, coolants and feeds/speeds.
• Heat treating and welding as required.
• Inspect work with precision measuring tools before, during, and after machining/repair.
• Assemble fixtures, tools and dies; test dies to meet specs and troubleshoot.
