Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Tool & Die Maker - Journeyman for an established automotive manufacturing facility in Eaton Rapids, MI. Direct hire with a pay rate of $36.07/hour; day or night shifts available; OT as required.

Responsibilities include building, repairing and maintaining tooling, reading blueprints, machining, welding and inspection with precision gauges; collaborating with plant departments on tooling projects. Requires journeyman card and HS diploma with 5 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and an active journeyman card are required.
• 5 years’ experience in high pressure cast builds and repair preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints or work from written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Build, repair, and maintain tooling, fixtures, dies, and jigs.
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment; select materials and tools.
• Perform machining, welding, heat treating, fitting and assembly operations.
• Inspect finished/in-process work using precision gauges.
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling including dies in production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and other plant departments on tooling projects.
• Provide input to product designers on new products and processes.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and provide personal tools required for the position.
