Job summary

Lozier is seeking a Tool & Die Journeyman in Scottsboro, AL. The role involves planning, layout, and performing bench and machine operations to build, service, repair, and maintain tools, dies and fixtures throughout the facility. Forklift may be required.

Qualified candidates will have four years of tool & die experience; a degree is preferred. Strong attendance and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work independently or with a team.

• Must possess a good attendance record.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and perform bench and machine operations to build, service, repair, and maintain dies and fixtures.
• Operate hand and powered tools (grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, etc.) to support tool & die work.
• Provide instruction to apprentices and trainees.
• Follow safety standards and Lozier quality requirements.

Forklift operation may also be required. The Journeyman also provides instruction to apprentices and trainees.
