Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a Journeyman Technician for Arlington Heights CDJR. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicle systems, while building customer trust through quality service.

The position is at a longstanding family-owned group with extensive dealer network. We offer a $46.75 per hour flat rate with a 36-hour guarantee, monthly bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, paid training and certifications, tool allowances, and career advancement

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician.
• Self-starter with a process-driven mindset.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as per local laws.
• 18+ years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
• Continuously update technical skills through formal training to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effective vehicle diagnosis and repair.
