Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a related field or five years of related experience required.
• Completion of apprentice training program in system protection is qualifying.
• Experience with metering, protective relaying, and EMS/SCADA systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Installation, repair, calibration of metering, relaying, and substation automation components.
• Resolve system problems from Operations, Engineering, and Transmission personnel.
• Configure meters and relays and interpret data to resolve transmission or substation issues.
• Conduct commission testing and document results for NERC compliance when applicable.
• Direct or oversee contractors to ensure proper installation and documentation for NERC compliance.
• Support communications functions as needed.
