Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking skilled welders in Louisiana to set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines per job specs and procedures. The role covers preheating, welding, and repairs across FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and other processes within a construction/industrial setting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate safe tool use, effective communication with supervision, and the ability to follow written instructions in demanding environments.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
Must possess working knowledge and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

Set-up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures.
Preheat and weld metal components as specified by blue prints, welding symbols, job specifications, or welding procedures.
Weld various processes FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW
Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment
Make welding repairs and substandard welds
