Qualifications

• Four or more years of structural stick welding in industrial construction.
• Competent in leveling, plumb, alignment and installation of steel and pipe components.
• Understanding metallurgy and heat transfer effects on metals.
• Ability to read plans and welding procedures.
• Able to pass welding test per project specs.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel in various positions (2G, 3G, 4G, and all qualified).
• Read plans and drawings including orthographic and isometric.
• Operate torch cutting and pipe beveling machines.
• Apply weld procedures per project specs and codes.
• Maintain safety and communicate effectively on site.
• Complete welds timely and per project requirements.
• Rigging and OSHA standards when moving heavy components.
