Kauai Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Service Technician to join its growing Service Department on Kauai. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems across residential and commercial properties.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers and team members.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC problems, including installation and replacement of components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems.
• Identify problems and communicate clearly what is needed to resolve them.
• Estimate costs of installation, repairs, and services for customers.
• Lead larger repairs and jobsites with multiple technicians when required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used in the CRM.

Kauai Mechanical is looking for an experienced and motivated Journeyman Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service to customers.

As a Journeyman Service Technician, you will work on a variety of HVAC, commercial refrigeration, and control systems across residential and commercial systems throughout Kauai. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, lead larger repairs and projects, and continue building your technical expertise with a company that values professionalism, safety, and quality workmanship.

Job Functions:

• Diagnose and repair HVAC problems, including component installation and replacement.
• The ability to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration Systems as needed.
• Possess the technical skills to identify and isolate problems clearly communicating what is needed to come to a resolution.
• Estimate costs of installation, repairs, and services to customers.
• Read and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to talk confidently with the customer, acting as a liaison between the customer and office.
• Perform work with a focus on Safety and Quality.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized job site. Must leave customer jobsite cleaner than it was at arrival.?
• Able to maintain a clean and organized work vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used within the company CRM.
• Able to take the lead on larger repairs and jobsites that require more than one technician.
• Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance.??

Job Qualification:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.??
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with a variety of personality types.??
• Attention to detail and the ability to complete work to a deadline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of HVAC related experience.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues.??
