Job summary

Scott Hale Plumbing, Heating & Air in Salt Lake City is seeking a Journeyman Service Plumber to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial plumbing systems. You will deliver quality workmanship, communicate clearly with customers, and uphold safety and local codes on every job.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plumbing service experience (residential or light commercial).
• Journeyman license as required by local jurisdiction.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in confined spaces, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Experience with tankless water heaters, drain cleaning, or water filtration systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, broken pipes, and fixture malfunctions.
• Install and replace faucets, toilets, water heaters, garbage disposals, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on water, sewer, and drain systems.
• Troubleshoot system failures and recommend repair or replacement options.
• Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
• Provide professional communication and clear explanations to customers about repair findings and solutions.
• Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and job site.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure timely service delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency plumbing service.
