Job summary

Qualifications

• Education – High School diploma with a certification as a lubrication technician.
• Experience - 3 years’ minimum experience in scaffolding and related duties.
• Supervisory responsibilities may include 1 to 5 scaffold builder helpers.
• Language Skills - read, write and speak fluent English for safety and communication.
• Mathematical Skills - basic arithmetic for measurements and material estimation.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and scaffold materials for defects and safety hazards.
• Communicates safety hazards and mitigates risks before construction.
• Erects scaffolding and transports materials to required dimensions.
• Hoists and secures scaffolding, ensures stability and lock integrity.
• Secures scaffold to permanent structures and follows OSHA and site rules.
• Conducts final inspection and dismantles scaffolding when required.
