Job summary

CoolSys Journeyman – Refrigeration role in Baton Rouge requires installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems per customer specs and codes. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across varied projects.

With 3+ years in construction and refrigeration work, you will use copper brazing, electrical wiring, piping, and blueprints. Travel and overnight stays are required; a high school diploma and EPA Type II certification

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and EPA Type II certification.
• Travel and overnight work are required.
• 3+ years in construction with field experience in refrigeration and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration systems and components per specs and codes.
• Perform regular maintenance to extend system life.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration failures and replace components as needed.
• Use diagnostic tools to assess performance and prevent issues.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Provide customer service and maintenance guidance to clients.
• Maintain records of service, parts, and conditions.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after hours.
