CBRE is seeking a Plumber to perform preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing and distribution systems across a facility. You will work with the engineering team to support equipment and system reliability.

The role requires a Journeyman plumbing certification with additional Medical Gas/Backflow credentials preferred. Strong safety awareness and ability to respond to emergencies are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience; in lieu of diploma, combination of experience and education considered.
  • Plumbing certification at Journeyman level required; Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required; prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot water and medical gas supply and distribution systems.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures per blueprints, drawings, specs, and codes.
  • Ensure waste/vent lines are in good operating condition; use plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices; provide training to staff for light plumbing maintenance.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operations as directed; respond to emergencies and escalate as needed.
  • Follow all safety policies and participate in HSE programs and reporting.

As a CBRE Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver's License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
