Job summary

Copper River Technologies is seeking an experienced journeyman plumber/pipefitter to install, repair, and maintain water, gas, sewage, and utility systems in Crane, IN. The role requires reading plans, diagnosing issues, and ensuring safe workmanship.

The position emphasizes hands-on work across facilities with on-call rotation and adherence to codes and standards. Training or oversight of helpers may be required, with comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level plumbing/pipefitting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance methods.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, schematics, and work orders.
• Ability to independently plan and lay out piping systems and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, maintain, and repair water, gas, sewage, and utility systems.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures and equipment, including toilets, tubs, showers, water heaters, valves, traps, and unions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, work orders, and sketches.
• Plan and lay out piping routes, openings, slopes, elevations, and equipment locations.
• Locate and tap mainlines and install piping, hangers, valves, fittings, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing system issues.
• Estimate labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete service work.
• Provide guidance and oversight to trainees or helpers when assigned.
• Support emergency and after-hours response when assigned to an on-call rotation.
