Job summary

USC Auxiliary Services in Los Angeles seeks a Plumber (Resource Employee) to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems across campus facilities. The role includes reading blueprints, scheduling work, ensuring safety, and training other staff as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a four-year apprenticeship and at least two years of trade experience. A strong commitment to USC values is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of four year apprenticeship program.
• Two years minimum experience in a trade-related field.
• Experience with city/state building codes and OSHA regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems and equipment per blueprints and schematics.
• Takes part in planning, coordinating, and scheduling plumbing installations.
• Maintains clean and safe job site during and after work.
• Trains journeymen and other staff in specific skills as needed.
• Prepares maintenance reports and records.
• Responds to on-call emergencies as required.
