Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and piping across water, gas, steam, air systems and medical gas lines. The role involves reading blueprints, ensuring electrical safety, and following lockout/tagout standards.

Responsibilities include inspections of separators and acid neutralizers, replacing fixtures, testing backflow devices, and maintaining fire protection systems.

Competenze

• High School Diploma, Vocational School or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of plumbing program with courses in blueprint reading, sheet metal work, mechanical drawing, electrical wiring, and plumbing.
• State Plumbing License preferred.

Mansioni

• Install and repair pipes and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids; install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform inspections on interceptors, separators, and acid neutralizers.
• Replace faucets and plumbing fixtures; install piping ½ to 8 inches; snake drainage.
• Test backflow devices; install hot water tanks.
• Inspect, maintain and repair fire protection systems (sprinklers, standpipes, pumps, dry chemical piping).
• Read and work from blueprints and sketches to complete workload efficiently and accurately.
• Perform other maintenance duties as needed and as assigned by supervisor or lead.
