Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is Florida’s fastest-growing MEP contractor seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join a 1,500+ team in a safety-first environment.

You’ll install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, read blueprints, mentor apprentices, and comply with codes. We offer ESOP, company-paid health insurance, vacation and sick time, retirement plans, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and applicable codes.
• Proficient in trade math.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans, specifications, and work instructions to complete installations or assemblies.
• Installs plumbing equipment, piping and assemblies.
• Perform skilled tasks related to fabrication, layout, installation, repair, or maintenance of assigned systems.
• Work collaboratively with general contractors and other trades.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and company procedures.
• Provide instruction, training, and guidance to trainees or apprentices to promote safe work practices and skill development.
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in an organized, safe, and serviceable condition.
