Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is Florida’s fastest-growing MEP contractor seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join a 1,500+ team in a safety-first environment.

You’ll install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, read blueprints, mentor apprentices, and comply with codes. We offer ESOP, company-paid health insurance, vacation and sick time, retirement plans, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and applicable codes.
• Proficient in trade math.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in buildings and facilities according to project specifications, blueprints, applicable codes, standards, and safety policies. This role ensures quality workmanship, provides guidance to assigned trainees or apprentices, and contributes to efficient and safe completion of assigned projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 4 years of commercial plumbing experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documents.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and applicable codes
• Proficient in trade math.
• Proficient in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools.
• Strong understanding of job site safety standards and commitment to following all company safety policies.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
• Med Gas experience with certification a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10
