Job summary

Bud Anderson | Cooling, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking a Plumbing Technician to service residential plumbing systems, diagnose issues, and communicate repair options clearly to homeowners. You will install, repair, and maintain fixtures, water heaters, and related equipment while ensuring code compliance and high customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing, water heaters, tankless, and filtration.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Journeyman license (preferred)
• Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers
• Knowledge of drain machines, camera, and locater equipment
• Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools
• High School Diploma or GED
• Clean driving record
• Basic computer skills, ability to use an iPad to document work
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language

Responsibilities

• Execute effective troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of plumbing issues
• Perform timely and accurate repairs to resolve plumbing and drain issues
• Always explain to the customer what service you are performing and gain approval before doing the work
• Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services for the customers needs and wants
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
• Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business
• Maintain your truck so that it is always neat and clean on the inside and outside
• Work alongside Customer Service and Dispatch team to ensure overall success of the business
• Maintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services have been completed
• Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving
• Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations
