Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Journeyman in Houston, TX to install, assemble, maintain and repair plumbing systems in commercial construction projects.

You will work with piping, fittings, valves and fixtures for heating, potable water, and drainage, ensuring quality workmanship, system integrity, and code compliance. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Journeyman Plumber’s license, and 4+ years of journeyman experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possession of a valid Journeyman Plumber’s License is a must.
• 4+ years as a Plumbing Journeyman preferred.
• Trained and qualified to operate machinery such as scissor lifts, aerial lifts, fork lifts, etc.
• Demonstrated proficiency through on-the-job experience and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviews specifications and drawings to plan installations and sequences.
• Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc.).
• Locates pipe positions and marks with level, ruler, and laser tools.
• Cuts openings in walls and floors for pipe installations using hand and power tools.
• Installs sleeves and leave outs for roof and wall penetrations.
• Digs, backfills, and tamps trenches for piping.
• Joins pipes using soldering, brazing, and threading methods.
• Reads gauges to check for leaks and system integrity.
• Maintains a clean work area and follows safety regulations.
