Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Journeyman Plumber in New Orleans, LA to install and repair all phases of plumbing systems in accordance with local and state codes. The role requires 5+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred Journeyman/Med Gas/Backflow licenses.

You will read drawings, lay out pipe, install fixtures, and ensure safety and compliance. Travel is 0-5%, compensation ranges $28.00-$32.00 per hour with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience and meets requirements.
• Journeyman license preferred.
• Med Gas license preferred.
• Backflow license a plus.
• Formal training program or apprenticeship completed.
• Familiarity with techniques and tools to perform duties.
• OSHA safety knowledge and compliance.
• First aid, CPR and Emergency rescue knowledge.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of testing plumbing systems and leaks.
• Ability to read and comprehend design drawings.
• Ability to layout using approved job drawings.
• Operate plumbing equipment.
• Multitask in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Layouts pipe systems from drawings and job specifications.
• Installs plumbing systems and supports per drawings and manufacturer's instructions.
• Installs lavatories, toilets, urinals, and cafeteria plumbing fixtures.
• Installs drinking fountains and storm drainage systems.
• Installs sanitary sewer and potable water systems.
• Maintains safety and complies with codes and procedures.
• Identifies obstructions by inspecting structures and tests systems per job specs.
