Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in plumbing.
• Licensed Journeyman Plumber in the state.
• Completion of a formal training program or apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of reading and following design drawings.
• Ability to layout using approved job drawings.
• Knowledge of city and national plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Layout pipe systems, hangers and equipment from drawings and specifications.
• Install plumbing systems and supports using drawings and manufacturer instructions.
• Install lavatories, toilets, urinals, and cafeteria fixtures.
• Install drinking fountains.
• Install storm drainage, sanitary sewer and potable water systems.
• Practice on-the-job safety and maintain clean, safe worksites.
• Identify obstructions and inspect structures to avoid hazards.
• Comply with federal, state, and local codes and enforce requirements.
• Keep plumbing equipment and tools operational per instructions.
• Be able to test all plumbing systems per job specifications.
